ABA - Assistant Clinical Director

JOB OVERVIEW:

The clinical director is responsible for leading the team of clinicians and medical providers for our in-home team to administer excellent pediatric therapy care to clients. He/she is accountable for the hiring, managing, training, and retention of the best and brightest clinical staff, managing their clinic's budget in concert with their regional director, and ensuring that the staffing and scheduling needs of the clinic are met. The assistant clinic director is also primarily accountable for ensuring the highest level of quality clinical outcomes and compliance with relevant state, federal, and accrediting bodies laws in the provision of client care at their clinic. He/she is responsible for the management, development, and implementation of clinical operations of the clinic.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Design and implement strategies for the clinic according to company standards for excellent service and growth.
  • Ensure that the clinic has sufficient qualified clinical staff to meet the client service needs at the clinic. Play lead role in hiring, onboarding, and retaining the best and brightest clinicians.
  • Work in tandem with the regional director and Finance department to oversee budget and resources at clinic.
  • Lead the implementation of clinical goals and objectives to improve the client's experience.
  • Ensure the attainment, tracking, and reporting of established Key Performance Indicators. Work closely with company leadership to track and optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and supervise clinical staff. Provide training and constructive feedback.
  • Evaluate clinical staff performance and partner with Human Resources to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures. Lead employee engagement and turnover reduction initiatives for clinical staff.
  • Reporting to the regional director, provide support and oversite to clinic manager and admin staff at local clinic. Lead the successful adherence to quality assurance and compliance at the clinic.
  • Consistently engage clients and their families, understand and solve their needs, and position MySpot as preferred provider of care.
  • Collaborate with regional director and center manager to provide weekly P&L, budget, census, and productivity report to leadership as established.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective management of resources at the clinic. Responsible for physical upkeep and cleanliness of clinic, liaising with facilities management and center manager.
  • Develop strategies to improve clinic efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure that all regulatory standards are met regarding patient care, safety standards, and infection control at the clinic. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and standards that have been developed to ensure quality management and adherence to state, federal and accreditation organization requirements at each clinic.

  • Participate in the building of clinical fellowship program and forge relationships with appropriate colleges and universities; working in partnership with Training/HR and organization leadership. Directly supervise Clinical Fellows, as well as clinical staff.
  • Treat and evaluate for a minimum of 20 billable hours per week. Regularly benchmark industry's Key Performance Indicators to identify best practice and work with company leadership to implement necessary changes.
  • Works closely with office staff to ensure timely verification of insurance coverage. Collaborate with RCM to ensure the efficient tracking and gathering of billing and revenue collection.
  • In tandem with Marketing/Growth team and the regional director, play a pivotal role in achieving census growth and business development. .
  • Travel to and oversee other clinical locations as deemed fit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • Licensed clinician as a BCBA.
  • Minimum of 3 years leadership experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills and situational awareness.
  • Willing to travel as necessary.
  • Proven track record in successful management of multiple facilities.
  • Experience in clinical setting
